With the PypeServer Connect plug-in for SDS2, detailing and fabrication workflows are more seamless than ever. The plug-in allows you to select and fabricate handrail, pipe, and other elements directly from your SDS2 model and send them straight to PypeServer-driven tools—without any manual data entry.
From pipe profilers by Lincoln Electric (Vernon Tool), HGG, and Lone Star Cutting Solutions, to automatic saws and linear positioners by TigerStop, RazorGage, Scotchman, Kentucky Gauge, and more, Connect for SDS2 opens up powerful integration across your fabrication shop. The plug-in correctly handles fittings, intersections, and weep holes, converts weld, tee, and elbow fittings into fabricated pipe, and even lets you adjust bevel angles, root gaps, and hanger rod lengths. All of this feeds into clean cut lists, previewed and ready for Cloud or local export.

At Build Forward, we’re also highlighting our latest advancement—pipe-to-plate connections. This new feature enhances flexibility in your design-to-fabrication workflow by giving you more connection detail options right inside SDS2. Combined with PypeServer’s existing suite of capabilities, it’s another step toward eliminating bottlenecks and enabling truly paperless, model-to-fabrication processes.
